WW2 British Army sniper spotting scope

Thought you would like to see a pretty scarce piece of WW2 sniper kit.
British Army WW2 sniper team spotting scope, 20x Scout Regt 4 draw telescope with sliding sun shield. Fine brown leather case with the shoulder strap. Scope is marked Tele. SCT. REGTS. MK2 H.C.R. & Son LTD OS126GA No. 2086 with the Broad Arrow mark. Optics are in excellent condition, brown crackle covering is VG+ condition with only one small chip. Leather case and shoulder strap are excellent condition. Eye piece cover is present and operational. This scope and case was standard issue for British army sniper usage and an internal component of their kit. This is a complete unit which in many ways is rarer than the rifle.
Not my cup of tea but a pretty scarce piece of gear,

A nice piece of gear , it begs the questions who , when where ?
Just what has it seem and experienced.
