    WW1 British Trio medalbar...

Hello - Wanting to know what the going average price is for a very common set, it is engraved to a Sgt. Chevers of the Hampshire Regt. The interesting problem is the ribbons are placed in the wrong place, but it all looks period done to me. Comes with a miniature set as well. So what would the value be as I would like to put this up for sale on the E-Stand at a fair price.
    Regards

Ok can anyone dicipher this for me - the medals all read 3539 SJT G. CHIVERS HAMPS. R. I assumed that SJT was Sgt. (!) is it something else? Also is HAMPS> R. mean Hampshire Regiment???
        Regards

          Spot On

          Charles,
Spot on .. Sargeant .. Hampshire Regiment ..

The Star is not the "Mons" star, .. but still Chivers has a low regimental number ...
I would hazard a guess of anywhere from £50 GBP onward for the whole group.

Hi Charles, not to share the spotlight or anything, but my trio below was picked up on e-stand for a deal of $150 if I remember correctly. It has no mini's, but also it has the 1914 Star (more rare) and came with the citation papers on the awardee:

            1.

                Hi Guy's,

The set would be worth more than 50 pounds, it would be far in excess than that as it's to infantry of the line, the army serial no. dosen't exactly denote him as an old timer (I've a set to a guy who's number is 282 !!!) they changed the army system of numbers prior to WW1 perhaps oneog the more coversed can fill you in on that.

Nice groups, but best wait for one of the Brit medal spotters to say, as e bay dosen't reflect the price's on these really.

This is one of mine with the bar, I've the genuine mini's to the set too.

Dealers are selling 1914-15 Trios to British Regiments for about 75-85 GBP currently. This is for a straight trio, not a casualty, naturally.

I think this trio is in that approximate price range. The minis are a nice little bonus.

                  Cheers,

                  Adam
