Great set of badges there. The Royal Winnipeg Rifles Badge on the Far right is outstanding. (One of my best friends in currently in that regiment). I don't think the 2nd one is actually a CEF Badge.
Chippler- Hate belts were a souviner item. Usually a german belt that a soldier would put all sorts of badges on. There were both allied and axis badges.
Glad you liked them. WW1 commonwealth badges featuring devils are always very popular with collectors. The Australians used the dancing devil for one of their light horse regiment.......I have that badge somewhere in my collection.
What really annoys me is with hate belts is the dealers often break them up, removing the rarer badges
Sadly the belt i bought yesterday is not complete but I guess this item is 100 years old and in that time badges must of dropped off. The great thing thing about this belt is that all the badges have the same patina which confirms it is genuine.
