Unusual SAS patch

Any ideas on this SAS patch. It is made exactly like a US WW2 shoulder patch, machine embroidered using cotton thread on a black base material. There are no sythetic materials. It is 2 7/8" wide by 3 7/8" long, about the same size and shape of a US 1st Infantry Division SSI. It doesn't look to be the usual blazer patch. Any ideas??
