    What have I got here?

Hello all I picked up a small Grouping from an aviators grandson today and these were included. I am assuming these are British/commonwealth cap badges. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The fox/wolf pin is two piece construction and marked something London. Thanks All! Mike

The running fox is for the East Riding of Yorkshire Yeomanry.

And with the other insignia, the square one is a rank pip that goes on the shoulder and the crown appears to be the one that goes above the sergeants chevrons to make a flight sergeant or a staff sergeant. Sorry i cant help with the period for the cap badge.

        Cheers

Thanks Jason for the information. Do you have a relative value on these as I intend to put them on the estand, not my area. and don't want to price them silly. Thanks again Mike

Hi, im not to sure of a price you expect to pay on the internet but rank insignia can be found locally for around two to three dollars. I dont know about the capbadge but i would expect a fair bit more depending on rarity (im in the same boat as you when it comes to that one ) I think you would probably do best selling them as a group.

            Cheers

Thanks Jason! I did a little internet search and it seems that the cap badge is apparently WW1 as that is the only time frame I can find that particular unit referenced. Mike

That particular badge for the East Riding Yeomanry was in use from 1920-56, unfortunately what you have there is a collar badge, price depends on who wants it, but not a great deal I think.

The pip and crown are so common that you'll see lots of 10 go unsold on ebay at £1.

Sorry to give you the bad news
