79th Armoured Div patches

Hi

I am trying to find out if any other examples of the 79th Armoured ( Bullshead ) patch existed other than the printed and dutch made embroidered types- In particular I am sure there must have been some examples of UK embroidered 79th patches. Would appreciate any help,

Hi Ken, I am sure that I have seen some before at shows, but I have no photos. Here is a standard printed example on a blouse in my collection.

Thanks for posting that! If you ever see any UK embroidered types I would be very interested in purchasing-if they are right obviously. I am also interested in anything from the 79th - 31st Tank Brigade.

Hello Ken ,

i did have a 79th div cloth badge , this was printed but the fabric it was printed on was a lot different to the ` normal ` cloth found with printed badges , this material was very stiff almost like a water proof material , a bit similar to the material used in the manufacture of the 22nd beach group badge ( the penguin on a buff coloured cloth ) i will have a look and see if i have a photo on file ,Michael.
