absolutely gorgeous, both of them, I am somewhat green with envy, in particular the officers forage cap for the HLI is truly stunning

They are superb and very hard to find, particularly in that condition. Were they obtained here in the US?

I love the HLI Pillbox and the Irish one is great for a friend of mine.
Had some nice Black Watch in my Hand but sadly couldn't buy them. Museum Property.

They popped up out of the blue on Ebay US late one night with an expensive buy it now and not cheap starting price , I might have had a few too many glasses of Rose, and thought well I aint gonna see these again and its about the same price as a nice Army German helmet so I bought them. Pleased I did as well, the money is gone so now forgotten and I have 2 nice caps on my shelf. Rob

Congratulations on these two fine examples; especially the HLI forage cap, which has to be one of the most striking of it's type. While still attractive & rare, some of the non-Royal infantry forage caps are rather subdued.
I missed these on Ebay somehow; prices seem to be in the $600-800 or so range; one has been listed on Ebay for months at $750. You would think the seller might rethink his price.
