Just a small lot relating to W.J.G.Witton, RAOC who was captured by the Japanese becoming a POW. His service started in 1940 but would be interested when and where he was captured if anyone can help? The Kings letter does seem quite heart felt with its sentiment

I have the same letter for a female civilian who was interned by the Japanese and spent most of the war in a camp in Hong Kong. I think if you have access to one of the ancestry websites you can find details of when someone was interned/registered as a PoW but it won’t give the where, however, with this date and his company details you might be able to pin it down to so particular event/battle.
