Help Identifying Tunic

This tunic was in a deceased collectors large collection and I am going to put it on ebay but I want to make sure it is legit.

canadian late war bd, appears to be missing some insignia, regiment or armoured corps titles, maybe a tank arm badge, but otherwise looks pukka imo

One would expect some regimental insignia, but I can't see where on the shoulder straps any more insignia would have gone, nor any evidence of holes for collar dogs. That said, that may not be bad. Any evidence from photos and so on that such badges were not being worn in combat areas by the late war?
