Mk. 3 Helmet with Decal.

Final post for the day guys. I picked this up at a gun show. The story I got form the seller that this was a Canadian Mk3 helmet left by the Canadians and used by the Dutch as a police helmet. The liner is 58 which I think is the size.

My plan was to reconvert this back to a Canadian Mk3 buy replacing the liner and repainting the shell. I have reconsidered this but it was a hard decison. As a Canadian Helmet, Mk3's go for $150.00+, as a Dutch helmet....$40.00 which what I paid for it.

It this really a Dutch helmet or maybe Belgian?

Its a first aid helmet of the dutch postal service,they used a lot of these helmets,most are painted green.

Hi Greg, personally I would leave it as it is, as it is original and does have an interesting history of use.
