Anyone know where I can buy a current issue, MoD marked, F.S. Commando Dagger.

    Hi Les,

Check Ebay. You often find NATO marked FS knives come up.

          Hi Les,
Sorry but I don't know of any dealers selling post war FS knives at the moment, but I will keep an eye out for you.

            Hi,

Well I managed to pick up a couple (one off ebay), one new, unissued and MoD marked and the other in mint condition also MoD marked. I should get them in the next couple of days depending on the Post.
Is there a publication that explains what the various markings mean. i.e. B2 etc. or can any of you guys tell me what marks to look for/expect.

            Cheers

            Les

              Hi Les,

There will be some Birmingham proof marks around the bottom of the grip. Usually consisting of crossed Keys. One of the quinlons will be marked with the manufactrers details and the other side may contain an inspection stamp.
              Hope this helps.

              Yours, Guy.

                Les,

Do a search for 'commando dagger' and you will get threads on FS knives. They will have a lot of the info you need.

                  Hi Irv,

I did a search on commando knife and got 23 hits but very little on markings. I'll try cutting it down to commando.

                  Many thanks

                  Les
