MC in my family!!!!!! can someone help me research it!!

i was talking to my grandad on my mums side and i found out that a relitive of mine won the militery cross in north africa! his name was joe edmunson and it was a instince award of the medal from what im told! i think he was in the london fusillers and survived the war retireing in a fairly high rank! can anyone help me as id love to be able to tell my grandad how he won it!

dont how to research it but is there any other way to find out about how he won it? also i think i may have got the spelling wrong! is there anyone who even come close???
