Hi Robb, thanks Robb. The leather has actually shrunk with age. It was conventional and featured on all Kangol's products. Here is another one from my collection which is in better condition.

      Cheers, Ade.

        Guys,

This is what landed in my mailbox yesterday, just what I needed to cheer me up after some painful dental work earlier. They were only 12 pounds, so you see you bargains do come up on ebay!

        Cheers, Luc

Thanks for you comment Guy, I was pleased to read on the internet this is something positive:
Literally 'one who commits buggery' (anal sex), 'bugger' derives from Bulgaria and the Bogomils. These were originally a heretic Christian sect who were stigmatised as sodomites. Section twelve of the UK 1956 sexual offences act refers to buggery. According to this, buggery is sexual intercourse between males or between male and female in an 'unnatural manner', or between male or female with an animal in any manner whatsoever. This word is often used affectionately, as in 'lucky bugger'; 'jammy bugger'; 'flash bugger'; 'old bugger' and so on, and is sometimes softened to 'beggar'.

            Affectionately? You make me blush
            Cheers, Luc

              Hi all,

Here are my new "kids". They were had quite cheaply at a local auction last week. Comments welcome.

              Cheers,
              Greg

                  Hiya Luc,

Sorry mate, that was indeed an affectionate reference to the state of your luck rather than your sexual orientation.

Many of you Dutch and Belgian lads speak and write such good English (you put us to shame) that it is easy to forget that you may not be fully aware of the meanings of the English vernacular.

So you lucky git enjoy your titles and I hope to see you soon.

                  Yours, Guy.

PS, Sorry Greg, meant to say. Nice patches, IMO they all look fine.

                    Hi Greg,

Lovely badges, nice to see some original Canadian airborne badges.

Guy, glad we got this cleared, but I do like sheep!
                    Cheers, Luc
