The lining,. though it is tough to read the Beret Industries maker and the 1943 date.

A minty Para Beret- I believe this one had to be one of the surplus ones available a million years ago. It is mint and a pinhead size.

                  Allan,

You have some super stuff. Can you post close up of the parachute badge on beret and the Arty bullion on the other beret?

Nicely displayed insignia... lets see the rest of the displays, UNIFROMS

                    Emb Indian Peg

                    Hi Adrian

Interesting Peg. Its the first insignia I have seen that can actually be rated as cute and cuddly. The pegasus looks like pokey!

                    Still very neat.

                      Peg on RA tunic

                      Adrian

Thats a nice example of a high end embroidered Peg. Ive had those to Cdn para Officers. They are neat because they are usually made with two layers of backing. The embroidery goes through the first one and than another layer is adhered on top.

                      Nice tunic

                      Ken

Ade, I like that beret. I would be very proud to own it, especially if the man himself gave it to me. What an honor.

Most vets I know have no clothing left, most just have medals and sometimes a few badges. I have never met a WW2 vet who had his uniform or even a cap. You fellows are lucky.

                            Michael,

Great Indian made wings I seem to recognise the bottom one Love the one with the metal backing plate, it's a real stunner

                            Ade,

I've always admired that RA SD, the patches are beauties I've got some like that, they're really good quality. Nice beret btw, never get bored of that one

                            Allan,

Superb Airborne Artillery beret, I haven't seen that one before As I've probably said before, you have a nice collection of Airborne insignia but I've just spotted a rat in there!! The Glider Pilot Wing at the front of the row is a relatively recent copy I believe. Like Des has said, I'd like to see a photo of the same Pegasus and the Parachute title above. It's hard to make out from a distance but they look suspiciously like crude copies.

                            Thanks, from Jack
