    Need Unit ID!!!

Got this Stable Belt from the UK, but nobody knows the unit.
It's with the "Pegasus"- Buckle like the Para Engineers or the Pra Medic's.

The old RCT colours were dark blue & white. Don't know what the current RLC colours are, could be a rainbow, but might be worth checking in case the yellow edging was simply added to the RCT colours.

        Rlc

Hi Leigh, I wondered that too. But the belts that the Corps shop sell, although similar, don't match.

Sorry I cannot help Nico. Modern stuff is not my thing.

        Cheers, Ade.

It is the ROYAL ARMY SERVICE CORPS. The unit could be:
          1947-1956
560, 561 and 562 Companies ROYAL ARMY SERVICE CORPS

          OR

          1948
          63 Parachute Company RASC

So was the stable belt used by RASC & RCT, or did RCT knock out the yellow edging?
Looks like nasty Indian made cast buckle, I have an SAS one from the 70's - 80's, a poor quality casting with chrome finish.

Just had a look at the link - you can see the similariries just the white stripes replaced by red.

The stable belt for the RASC is as you have shown but normally with two leather straps and single prong metal buckles.

That for the RCT has red stripes top and bottom placed closer to the centre white stripes.
