    Mills Bombs

    Fellow Members,

No really my sort of thing but I tend to pick these up at the odd militaria auction and junk shops.

I suppose they are all Mills Bombs of some sort.

A couple are sectioned and some have square filler plug centres and a few have holes drilled into them.

    Are these collectable?

Also, should the pin ring be on the left or right of the bomb when looking at the filler plug?

    Thanks in advance...

Hi, nice collection of Mills Bombs. Here are two good websites:

    http://meltingpot.fortunecity.com/ut...ukgrenades.htm

    http://members.shaw.ca/dwlynn/baseplugs/baseplugs.htm

They are very collectable and sell for about £45 to £50 here for a good example.

    Cheers, Ade.

Well, if you can't find your answers here, you won't find it anywhere:

And yes, these are VERY collectable. I think the ring was held at the left (spoon facing away from the thrower) so you could pull it out with your left hand throw with you right hand.
