              I have not seen that maker before. The two I own are both Kangol manufacture with a broad arrow -- see the photo below.

                    Hi Calvin, I think you will find the beret is modern. The stitching around the inside is not in any of my wartime berets.

                    Compton and Webb Ltd were, and still are, a big manufacturer of berets for the British Army. The makers mark in the arc is typical for them. The wording can vary a little. I have an RAF beret dated 1948 which is done in this style, but it does not have the "Great Britain" text. So I think it is a modern made beret with a dubious date added.

                    Not sure on the cap badge, I would really need to see the back.

                      Hi Calvin,

                      Ade's correct: the beret is a reproduction. The company also makes maroon berets and these too appear on the market as original ones.
                      I'm uncertain about the badge, could be ok but I'd like to see the back.
