Hi Si, this is a rare badge and like Robb says we would need to see the back. But I would never buy one of these without some kind of provenance.

Hi Si,

Probably one of the most faked cap badges of WW2. I'd never touch one of these even if it did come from a veteran with solid provenance. Many of the old boys picked these up since WW2 so it is impossible to say. I guess it's all down to whether you like the look of it or not?

Guys Hi,

Here's the back of the badge, I must have picked this up/given it many years ago when I was young

, so it wouldn't have cost much a quid max. I will post some others later today and look forward to your comments

Jim, when you get to my age,anything not on parchment is a restrike

Anyway, sorry for the long delay, but with a few PC problems and work issues I will post some of these badges and as and when any comments will be appreciated. As mentioned before I have had most of these for donkeys so the out lay was minimal. I am sure there is nothing too special here.....
