I recently found this cap and am trying to determine its time period. Canada general service cap badge with lugs attachment, Canada Militia side buttons (KC and beaver) with a brown leather strap with sliders. Strap has both officer style sliders and a brass buckle. Faint Wm Scully of Montreal maker mark in the sweatband. Underside of the peak is covered in the same fabric as the top. Any help is appreciated.

Here's another example. Making no comment on the price, but there are a bunch of nice shots of the details of the cap.

The fabric, the chinstrap width and the peak size of the cap are all compatible with WW1. Other Ranks' service dress caps had the smaller peak and those of officers had this larger spade shape. Fabric under the peak was the norm for officer caps of the period. A very nice cap; I'm in no doubt this is WW1 and as stated by daggervez a perfect match for his tunic!
