    ww2 original British Helmet?

    Hi people!
I bought this helmet a while ago.. payed like 20$ or something for it so its no biggie..
But I havnt got much experience in this field, so I just wanted to hear what you guys think!
Is this a original birtish infantry helmet? or is it post war? or maybe something else I dunno.
There just aint many marknigs etc so iv always been a bit suspicious about it..
Anyway, id appreciate some insight if there anyone who could help!

    Cheers,
    Chris

      Hi Chris,

It looks like a nice WW2 MKII Helmet to me. Obviously finding date stamps would confirm it one way or another. I think it was $20 well spent.

There WILL be a date /makers code on the rim of the helmet by the chinstrap bale ,and also on one of the black cross straps ,if you have a really good look you should find some more info .Rob.
God please take justin bieber and gave us dio back

Okay, thanks alot guys! I'll go in for a closer look and see if I cant find it
I'll post some pics later, thanks again!

Oh, and by the way, what do you think a piece like this would be worth? cause 20$ aint exactly a normal reasonable price is it?

(if your interested in seeing it together with a little set up just take a look at my mk3 einfield thread here: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...595#post905595)

          Cheers,
          Chris

            Hi Chris,

Nice helmet, love your rifle too!
You could try www.amsmilitaria.com for spares, they are in Belgium but the owner is British. I bought a couple of items there, good service and low prices.
            Regards, Luc
