Yea, I saw that too. Would be awesome to buy it, but will sell well above my budget I am sure.


Someone already posted that the beret is not an original WWII example and that the date has been messed with. I'm waiting to hear responses to that.

I do not particularly collect SAS, but when I see a socalled WW2 beret with a leatherette sweatband, slider pocket and worn out date I smell something fishy.

I guess you could say the SAS were a bit independent in their choice of uniforms. And used whatever they found. But the rubbed date is a bit odd however the last 4 looks ok . Rob.

Thanks for the link, some great photos...brews up in the desert with sheepskin and shades ! From the catalogue the "group " is split up as 10 lots, 137 to 147, wonder what it will fetch overall.
