Search function ignoring 3-character entries

I just noticed that the search function is ignoring all entries with 3 characters (and probably less). If I search for anything with 3 characters I get a "Sorry - no matches" result and if I add another word that has at least 4 characters, it will only list results that contain the 4 letter word. For example, if I search for "M40 tunic" with the option to search titles only, it will list all threads that contain the word tunic but ignores the "M40". I guess this is something that changed recently because I can remember that it worked in the past. I hope this can be fixed because this forum is a massive hoard of information and it would be a major inconvenience if it couldn't be searched through properly like in the past.

I am having zero, nadda, zippo no luck with Search Engine - no characters work, no numbers.
