How do I see the first post in top of tread?

Hello friends.
OK, I'm a newbie, but I need some advice here, when i view a tread always the last response shows in top of tread, how do I change this, Is it possible to view the first post in top of tread?

I look in FAQ, it says: Can I change the order of posts?

Answear is:
Linear Mode - posts are displayed chronologically, usually from oldest to newest. Posts are shown in a flat mode so that many posts can be viewed simultaneously. It is possible to change the ordering by changing your preferences in the User CP.

I go to CP. only message I get is: There are no subscribed threads to display in this folder for this time period.

What does this mean?

I'm lost, please help, kind of frustrated here...

Go to the bottom of this page and you will see (display options) 1 sorted by 2 sort order 3 from the .you must have yours checked ascending in box 2 .you should try and check box number 2 to descending and box 3 to from the beginning
