Bank transfer is 100% safe if the receiving side is 100% safe.

Wire transfer is basically you make a deposit to somebody's account with the money coming from your account. Even if it is your payment for something it is not treated as a payment and you are not protected by any means as a buyer. Once you transferred the funds, there is no way to reverse it if something goes south

So true CMSgt, also these are usually high for amount transferred. Check first how much your bank charges BEFORE you make the transfer. Safe, but can be costly.
