Q re book on Somme German focus

Can anyone recommend an English language book giving the German status of the battle of the Somme ? I am looking to know which regiments/companies were where day by day.

Also does anyone know of a more general WW1 book which would also give an outline of German units placements during major battles offensives, Ypres, Flanders, Somme etc ?

Martin Middlebrook's "First Day on the Somme" ( July 1916) and "The Kaiser's Battle" (March 1918) cover the German units in each of these battles. ( In respect of the Somme , that first day).
