I also enjoyed it when I watched it a couple of years ago. I also remember thinking the uniform and flying kit was pretty good as well.

It's not a bad flick with the uniforms and kit done up pretty well. That is, except for the Luftwaffe emergency rations. They should have done a little more research with regards to actual war time contents. The Scho Ka Kola tins are pretty well the only authentic looking items, with the rest of the ration labels/packaging (Konserven, Erbswurst and Zwieback/Knäckebrot) being on the fantasy side of the scale. Just a bit of nit picking on an otherwise decent movie.
