Das Boot - The Original Uncut Version

Hi all,

I recently got this double dvd and watched it over the weekend.
It's fantastic ! I saw the series some years back on tv but it's great to have the full lenght on dvd now. It about 6 hours of movie!

Together with "Der Untergang" i find "Das Boot" one of the best WW2 movies around.

Anyone else has this dvd set and has some comments about it ?

and can you scan the cover so I can recognise it in the store?

My wife just bought me the 6 hour DVD for my birthday at the weekend
So I have a VHS version of the film that I may put on the e-stand for a few £.
Like I said over on another thead Das Boot and The Downfall are in my opinion the best 2 WW2 films EVER made.

Book is also great to read.

Box is like a book. Inside there are 2 dvd's, some b/w movie photo's, directors info etc...

For the Belgians, i found it to be the cheapest at Free Record Shop

"Das Boot"

The new DVD preoduction brings new life to the movie , superior sound and picture quality along with some deleted scenes not previously used on the mini series or the movie in any format.

The scene in the nightclub and the throwing of the greased rag at "Werner" are highly unlikely scenes but non the less "Das Boot" is an excellent film.
With english subtitles- the only way to watch it.

Picked up a german copy of "Der Untergang" on ebay looking forward to seeing it as well.
