Pat Buchanan interview & library & Gun room tour

This might be of interest to some here, it's an interview with Pat Buchanan, former presidential nominee & advisor to Nixon, Ford and Reagan. The first part is about his excellent book 'Churchill, Hitler, and The Unnecessary War: How Britain Lost Its Empire and the West Lost the World'.

The second part is a guided tour of his library along with some funny anecdotes from his life, including about other politicians and ww2 authors (Alan Clark etc).

The last part is a tour of his gun collection. Always found him to be (like Robert McNamara) interesting and unusually honest person. At the height of his work in Nixons Whitehouse Buchanan was known to be very good friends with counter culture hero Hunter S.Thompson, so it's fair to say he is not your average conservative politician.

    Thanks for that.

He certainly likes the more garish pistols but has loads of enthusiasm.

The ppk was very unusual. Be interesting to know the story of that one.

The P.38 had some unusual pattern on it.
