I have seen this footage many times on the History Channel. Now it will have a special, and sad meaning as I view the footage. My Uncle Carl Smith was a tank crew member under George Patton. He received the Bronze star and the silver star. My dad and his two brothers survived WWII. Thanks for sharing this story, Smitty.
