This was a great story. Louis Zamperini was a runner in the Berlin Olympics where he meet Hitler and was caught pulling down a Nazi flag for a souviner. He joined the Army Air corp., crashed in the ocean and spent 47 days on a raft, fighting sharks. He was finally picked-up by the Japs and the his story only gets more harrowing from there.Louis is still alive and living in Hollywood, I found him, using the internet. He works for a church and is active with teens. I wrote him a letter and today I received his reply. He sent me 4 8x10's, 3 0f them autographed photos.

2. A signed photo of him in uniform from 1945
3. A signed, current photo of him in his leather jacket, standing in front of an airplane like he crashed in.
4. A picture of his unit's patch..
They are supposed to be making a movie of his life, with Nicholas Cage. But, as we all know, the book is always better than the movie.
