    Best HERMANN GOERING DIVISION Book?

Looking for the most detailed HG Division book with rosters, maps, movements, battle reports etc, Any idea?

    Franz Kurowski one maybe?

    thank you

I don't think there is anything that detailed. There is also Hermann Goring: From Regiment to Fallschirmpanzerkorps by Roger James Bender but that and the one you mention are fairly small books - about the size of the Waffen-SS DKiG series by Mark Yerger.

Edit: Looking at AHF, they list these sources -

Wolfgang Bach - Vom Garigliano zur Weichsel: Meine Zeit als Chef der schweren Kompanie der Fallschirm-Panzer-Aufklärungsabteilung "Hermann Göring" 12.Novmeber 1943- 31.August 1944
Roger James Bender & George A. Petersen - Hermann Göring: From Regiment to Fallschirmpanzerkorps
Claude Gillono - Hermann Göring Panzer Division in Sicily
Franz Kurowski - The history of the Fallschrim Panzerkorps Hermann Göring
Alfred Otte - The HG Panzer Division
Bruce Quarrie - Fallschirmpanzerdivision ‘Hermann Göring’
Gordon Williamson - The ‘Hermann Göring’ Division

Despite Kurowski's reputation, his Hermann Goring book is excellent! It is the only detailed unit history in English, and is written more professionally than a lot of his other books.

Yes, I agree. While not a fan of most of Kurowski's other works, his HG history is pretty good, IMHO.

I have never seen the Bach or Gillono books. Are they worth getting?

            Thanks guys,

I was going to get the Kurowski one if i had to pick one just by reading the reviews around the internet. Also
The Hermann Goering Division (Men-at-Arms Series) by Gordon Williamson looks ok and cheap.

Have to look into my shelf, I am away from home for flying.

The Kurowski is actually the most detailed book I know off.

Does anyone know if there a book that features a detailed analysis of the 1945 Battle of Bautzen (which the HG was predominantly involved in)?
