    The Battle of France, 1940

I am currently spending a fair bit of time in airports and in planes around the Middle East (I am typing this from Doha airport, Qatar) so I have had plenty of time to read.
Just finished "The Battle of France, 1940" by Philip Warner.
Published in 1990 and reprinted in paperback by Cassell in 2002.
A good read, starting from the pre-war period up 'till just after Dunkirk. Describes the state of "unpreparedness" in England as well as France, Belgium and Holland and the pathetic way the allies responded to the invasion.
Nothing earth-shattering in this book but still worth buying in my view.
