13 Minutes film bbc4

I have been waiting to see/purchase this film for some time and it is being shown on BBC4 this Sunday at 10pm. Looking forward to it very much.

I really enjoyed this film if that’s the right term.

I was fascinated with the interrogation and I did not know Nebe and Müller were so close to the investigation. Having looked up some information after watching the film, a lot of the detail is spot on.

I thought it was well done how the film showed the village moving into Nazism and the detail, much if it in the background, seemed correct.

I have a bit of looking up to do as I have an interest now in both Nebe and Müller.

One thing that confused me. Huber was actually put on the case and was shown in the film as the Obergruppenfuhrer but Huber reported in to Müller in reality.

Secondly, all the uniforms seemed very good apart from the cap badges on the Dachau guard at the end.

Watched this film last night and enjoyed it thoroughly from start to finish.

I have always had an interest in the resistors to Hitler, and I find it a shame that Georg Elser does not seem to of recieved the same amount of coverage as the likes of v. Stauffenberg, Oster, Olbricht and many others, and seems to of gone largely unnoticed.

Well worth watching.

Just finished watching - great film.

Elser was obviously an intelligent man being able to execute such a plot single-handed. However, what an absolute fool to be caught carrying bomb schematics, plans of burgerbraukeller and other incriminating evidence - he could have got away scotfree and no one would ever have known who the perpetrator was.

I feel little sympathy for him as he inadvertently murdered eight innocent people in the blast.

It was also good to see Jakob Grimminger portrayed for once, and the Reichsfuhrer was a good likeness too. I did clock the Dachau guard's cap badge too, but generally the uniforms etc were spot on, unlike some Hollywood tripe.

A good film, as others have already stated. Wonder why Elser was not executed sooner like some of the other German resisters? The Nazis never forgot him though, did they.
