    This book will be published this spring in Finnish too. Original German edition has very good reviews on Amazon.de.

        Von Rosen made a career in the Bundeswehr after the war, reaching very high rank. He took part in many NATO study sessions, which examined various WW2 battles to learn from them. This is probably what allowed him to be able to describe his experiences in detail. He was very active in the schwere Panzer Abteilung 503 veterans' association, helping to edit the two editions of their book. This makes von Rosen different from other veterans, who tried to forget about the war, and only wrote their memoirs at the end of their life. He kept his memories active, so he could relate them first to other professional military men, then to his old comrades, and now to anyone who reads his memoir.
