JJF is going to be publishing all three volumes of Stober's Combat History of the 17 SS Panzergrenadier Division. They are offering a prepub offer for Volume 1 on their site...

A year or so ago, JJF said they had gotten the rights to a 3-volume Waffen-SS history. I assumed it had to be this series. The last Ia of the GvB Division ignored the order to destroy the divisional war diary. Instead, he buried it in a remote forest area. Then, around 1970, the veterans dug it up and made use of it for their history. That's how there's such a long, detailed history for a division with such a short life. There's a German-only book that includes hundreds of documents from the war diary, for those who want even more information.

Seen the original storage chest that those documents survived in, until they were dug up. That was in the home of the co-Author of the German language versions of their history (he died earlier this year). On one of my visits to him, he signed the war diary documents (about the size and thickness of the phone book - for those that remember phone books!). Every document from their original formation order to the very last document from May 1945.
