I use "German Military Dictionary" by Lancer Militaria ISBN 0-935856-06-4.It's a reprint of one the War Department put out in 1944.

I believe there's one one abbreviations I'll have to look for it.

Hello all...since we are talking about older translations books. Here are two other translations books that may assist DP Jennings and others.

      Book one
English German German English Military dictionary by L. Von Carsten; 1942

      Book two
English German German English Military dictionary by the Department of the Army; 1964.
Somebody, after all, had to make a start. What we wrote and said is also believed by many others. They just don't dare express themselves as we did. Quote - Sophie Scholl - White Rose resistance group

          German Military Abbreviations.

A re-print of the War Department book from 1943.

Re-printed by Service Publications. ISBN 0-9699845-0-2

A very useful book, and covers all WW2 German abbreviations. It has been a great help for researching Soldbuch's, Wehrpasses, etc.

          Chris.
