    Sea Lion - Flak Ferries

Just a note that my article titled "Heavy-Flak Siebel-Ferry" was published in the Fall 2004 edition of Military Advisor, Volume 15, Number 4, pages 25-32. It covers the ferries and their planned use for Sea Lion and has 27 photos of Flak and transport ferries preparing for the attack. I love the picture of Dover taken through a Ferry's rangefinder - those guys got very close during their maneuvers!

      John,

Thanks. This is the first real treatment of these ferries I have seen of any length. The data from Sea Lion is not easy to come by, and I was lucky to have all of my Opa's info from his unit during the war. I still can not believe he ever took a ferry to Dover, pitching about on the channel with 88s and ever really expected to hit anything! If anyone ever come accross other info on these units, please let me know.

      Thanks,
      Marc
