Hitler bookmark up for sale

A 18 carat gold bookmark, given to adolf hitler by eva braun after the 1943 defeat on the sovient front is to be auctioned for sale in madrid for a starting price of 7,725 U.S.

Sorry no pictures, but very interesting piece. Posted in the Toronto metro newspaper.

No. I saw it in a Toronto newspaper. It is in perfect condition from what I can tell.

The inscription reads:

"My Adolf, dont worry...(the defeat)...was only an inconvenience that will not break your certainty of victory. My love for you will be eternal, just as our Reich will be eternal. Always yours Eva 3-2-43"

why would someone...anyone....give a remembrance peice for defeat? So they would be reminded of it everytime they looked at it?
