Hi Tino,
There are many, but "PINKS AND GREENS" and "MORE PINKS AND GREENS" come to mind. These are on uniforms and equipment.

Charles Sweeting, formerly a Curator at the NASM wrote a two volume set-- Flying Clothing and Flying equipment of the AAF. Pretty good books with good primary research. These do not cover dress uniforms.
