    1945 Kriegsende in Koln (2014)

    I purchased this book while in Cologne last week, and from all places, a fan shop for 1.FC Koln. Although the text is in German, the book has many very interesting photographs, diagrams, and American clippings. It's heavy, and about an inch and a half thick. Publisher www.regionalia-verlag.de

    Am I correct in assuming that Cologne was as heavily defended as Berlin?

                    Very interesting. Cologne is only an hour away from here and will be there soon again. Will keep an eye out for this book.

                      And by the way, there is a great chapter in the book (with many photos) of the tank battle (Panzerduel) at the Cologne Cathedral.

                        I have stood in that very spot years ago...

                        Depends on the agenda of the book.. ?

                        We ( British RAF ) no excuses, bombed Cologne in 1942 heavily
