I just finished ENDKAMPF by Stephen G. Fritz I found it a fresh look at the last few weeks of the war and investigates the complex postwar relationships between GI's, Germans and displaced persons. This book looks at the push though Franconia to cut off the German Wehrmacht attempt to reach the perceived Alpine stronghold it also looks at some of the Werwolf activities after the war.
