    Going to Crete

    I'm going to Crete soon for my summer hols.Can anyone recommend a good book on the history of WW2 Crete and is there anything related to the war like museums that I should visit?

    There are plenty of books out there on the battle of Crete, depends from which perspective you want to read about it from.

    Anthony Beevor and John Hall Spencer have written good books on the subject IMO

    I was in Crete in 2013 and loved it, where in Crete are you staying ?

      I'm staying near Heraklion. I think I will take a copy of Crete by Anthony Beevor thanks for the info

          I went in 2008, here's the link to my trip.

          I took Beevor's book with me and it was of great value. There are lots of other good threads too on peoples' visits.
