Hi Miikka, I asked this same questions abour 6 months ago and the answer I got was "Angolia's Uniforms and Tradiotions of the German Army". It is a 3 vol. set that was printed in the 80's and is super hard to find! I have found vol. 1 & 2 and I am still on the hunt for vol. 3. Vol. one cost me $125.00, vol. 2 cost me $89.00 but they are well worth it. I have only been collecting for under 2 years so I don't know much but most of what I don't know I learned from these books and this forum. Good Luck!

If you can manage, these volumes are still in print in German (Motorbuch Verlag) and cost far less from this source even with the dear Euro. I never secured the Bender versions, but the Motorbuch ones are marvelous.

Thank you for your replies!! I'm really a "newbie" with German uniforms but been collecting other uniforms for a quite long time. Reason for not collecting Germans is the repro cloth insignia for tunics and even complet repro uniforms being made, some even quite good... I've learnt a lot from this forum and I'm learning more every time I log in!

I try to hunt down those books & find info about that German publisher!
