Non-Walter Mitty type special forces books

    Dear All,

    Is there such a thing?!

I'm not sure about yourselves, but local book shops are adorned with all sorts of fiction/non fiction relating to supposed secret units.

The blurb can be anything from "Soldier Z joined the SAS at the age of 12 and is still serving, he killed 79 enemy soldiers in Operation Desert Storm using a mixture of coarse language and a blunt spoon.."

Anyone got any recomendations for any half decent books?

    Cheers!

    Ash

"Shoot to Kill" by Michael Asher is quite good. He served with The Paras in the '70's and then with 23 SAS as a territorial later.
