I received Frank's book this weekend. There is no longer any good excuse for ignorance when it comes to GABs. Not only does it enjoyably educate one concerning GABs, but there is a lot of carry over information applicable to Army badges in general. If I had had this reference when I began collecting 30 years ago, it would have saved me a lot of money.

The school of hard knocks can be an expensive way to learn!

    Great job Frank.

I recieved mine yesterday here on the West Coast of the USA. Outstanding! I salute you Frank for your endeavors. You have saved so many future collectors money that would have went to the bad guys in our hobby. Your book is truly a "breath of fresh air" and I can hardly wait for the PAB book. Thanks again!

          Best wishes,
          Chet

I am sorry my friend, I was only 11 back then and if I would have written the book back then it would have been a one pager with 3/4 of the page empty!
              Cheers, Frank

After 270+ replies ....here are my comments on this reference work...

I refuse to call it a "book" because this a realy top shelf "reference" work.
This is "the" bible for every serious collector of badges, beginner or advanced.

I can only congratulate you with this work Frank, not only the lay-out is fantastic but the photography is of a seldom seen quality.

The detailed description of the badges together with the photograps will be so helpfull for the collector.

This is simply one of the best references of the last decade...
No serious collector can afford it NOT having this work on his shelf.

Frank,I look foreward to the next series...and help you where I can.

                    Pieter.

                      Das Buch ist gelandet

Yep that's right ... Das Buch ist gelandet. Hopefully my crappy Deutsch is correct

It's in Canada now. Looks to be a killer book as all others have already eluded to. Best of all it came on a Friday. I have all weekend to digest the material inside.

Kudos Frank. Great packing job. I can just imagine how long it took to get the books ready to ship.

PLUS ... this is THE first time I have EVER received a book in the mail where I did not pay a horrendous Tax or Duty Fee from Customs. Either they were sleeping .... or have all ordered Frank's book as well !

                          Hi Frank,

I've had a little more time to scan through your book (intense reading later ), and thought of something that may link the later volumes together.

Angolia did this with his Editions of "For Fuhrer and Fatherland". He included "Addendum's" to later volumes. That is, updates or new discoveries, that were meant as "additional" informations for preceeding volumes.

That way if a new discovery or maybe new type fake is encountered OR maybe one of the "Unknown Makers" is identified, it could be included as a followup to the original work.

I finally got the book! It is a great day in my house. Now I need everyone to leave me alone so I can be with my book. Frank, the book is outstanding! I can tell you that I do not collect PAB's but I will buy the next book reguardless. I can't wait to see future books. Thanks again for all the hard work.

Got mine today. Undoubtedly the highest quality and best TR reference book available.
As an extra bonus, mine was signed and dated on my BIRTHDAY.

I'll just tell everybody that this was my birthday gift from Frank.
