I meant "negative", in the sense of a photographic negative. The same version of something, but in exact opposite form.

The studies/conclusions on this are all over the board. There is no real scientific consensus. Today, the issue is used by different people with different agendas.

Never did see an answer to the original post: Especially the last sentence which states "Nach der iGENEA DNA-Genealogie hat 10 % Deutscher jüdische Vorfahren." I do not know if it means that modern Germans have 10% Jewish origins?

No, this study was wrong. I apologised for posting it because the conclusions were wrong. Modern Germans DO NOT have 10% Jewish origins. Once again, I apologise for the misinformation. I wish a moderator could delete this entire post, because it's false information.

The iGenea study is not a scientific study and it DOES NOT represent the full spectrum of modern German populations. iGenea is a for profit company. So only rich customers and especially USA customers who think they may have German ancestry took the DNA test, so the results were inaccurate. Very few Germans took the test. Most of the test subjects were Americans. So the results indicate mostly Americans who suspect they have German ancestry.
In order to get accurate results for modern German populations, one needs to have a sample from across the board from Germany itself. But so far no such large scale test has been conducted in Germany. This is strange considering the fact that the technology is there and other countries such as UK have had these studies done.

So, the 10% Jewish origin for modern Germans is false. The results indicate mostly American clients who paid to take the tests because they have some German ancestry. So you could say that many Americans who took the test have 10% Jewish origins.
