It's the ship/customs wait. I have 25 addressed envelopes in my way. Since 9/11 US customs is a nightmare, must look like D-Day off the CA coast. And holidays, etc. "Murphy's Law" when dealing with such things. It's physical, just a matter of getting where it's going.

Fortunately my brain is in "Totenkopf." If anyone has anything of use for "Totenkopf" volume 1 now is the time as I'm tagging/numbering photos and the paper captions copy for publisher. A lot needed aside from the 304 photos already included.

More than half the illustrations are before the German Cross holder biographies start, it's a rather big book data/pages wise. Pretty much "It and a Bag of Chips" for correcting old books and giving new data on the unit and its personnel.

I need a poll of a couple hundred readers of my German Cross series.

PLEASE DO NOT POST YOUR REPLY HERE

PLEASE DO NOT PM ME OR E-MAIL ME YOUR PREFERENCE AT MY NORMAL CONTACT ADDRESS.

PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL THE PUBLISHER.

THERE IS A BELOW SPECIFIC MAIL ADDRESS FOR THE INFORMATION

There are various factors involved in deciding, including current postage rates, print/bind costs, etc.

The "Totenkopf" volumes will be two 500+ pages volumes in Bender's normal format. In a larger 8.5 x 11 format they would be two 400+ pages volumes.

Larger format allows larger images, the sole factor for considering that size. Personally I have arguments for both.

But with 90% unpublished photos and most of sufficient quality to be considerably larger than the typical 6x9 book format illustration, opinions of the readership are wanted.

The "Totenkopf" volumes expanded in text content far beyond any past or future volumes as well.

This being posted on other forums so
      please only reply 1 time.

Please send the following to the below e-mail ONLY:

Along with checking daily for their arrival as customs gives no info until ready to pick up, vol. 7 flyer came. With a price increase after 12+ years Bender also has a sale. That info follows in next window.

Note the sale price is for a set with the additional sale price on vol. 7 only as part of a chosen set.

Many thanks for comments and support. I always seem to have "Murphy's Law" in effect though hand in on time. If it can delay, it does. An Asian holiday between printing and shipping shut their world down for awhile. Drove me nuts.

Hoped to give one to Hugh Page Taylor when he visits me this week, so of course they'll arrive after. Seems many, including outside the USA, get a copy before I see one. Authors not a priority in the ship list.

Did the "PP" thing last night so hopefully it will not be too long , looking forward to seeing Mark's new volume as it is all new info to me .

As far as looked forward to books goes July will be both a good month and a costly one for me , two new books from "Classic Aviation" Vol. 2 on the JU-88 and another on the HE-111.

good things are like buses , they come along all at once.

Mark, just wondering if Vol-1 Wiking has been delivered out of customs yet?

RJB in confirming my order said they hoped to take delivery of the books at the end of this week.

Volume 7 finally arrived at publisher from the printer, those who ordered early get shipped first.

Normally I don't even get my own copies till after those are shipped.
