This excellent book was begun by the late Michael D. Beaver and text, layout and captions by Mark Bando. The insignia is well photographed and in many cases, shows manufacturers variations of the same item. Mr. Bando does a wonderful job of illustrating period relics with pictures of the veterans who brought them back. Many items are illustrated in this manner along with a chronological order from Normandy to the Battle of the Bulge. I highly recommend this book for every collector of not only SS insignia, but anyone with an interest with items of the era.
