Just read this book and think it is a must for WAFers. It's a psychological analysis, with historical examples, of why people collect and develops theories of why we collect and how it starts with early childhood experiences. It's nice to know why you have the desire to buy that dagger or EK. Also would be good for dealers to write advertising copy to satisfy collectors' compulsions. It's,"Collecting: An Unruly Passion" by Werner Muensterberger. Available through the usual sources: Amazon, Ebay, ABE Books, etc.

Thanks for the head's up Brian, looks like an interesting read.
In your 'usual sources' you added an etc. Do you have another option for those standards? Ebay can be incredibly random and difficult to judge prices, Amazon's prices ebb and flow and their packaging is ****e and ABEbooks certainly isn't what it used to be.
Cheers

Those are the sources I usually use. It's pretty easy to use the search engines on each and find the cheapest copy. I got my hardcover/dust jacket copy on eBay for $10 plus shipping. It may also be available through remainder books catalogs. Thanks to WAF member Old Flags Wanted for the recommendation.
