    Best book for Iron Crosses

    Any tips on what the best book is for iron crosses? 1939 type iron cross. Thanks for any leads!!!

        Thanks for the recommendations guys! I'll be waiting for the 2nd class book because I find them to be more decorative with the ribbon....

            Ek book

            I agree that Dietrich and Stimson's book is superb for discussion on metallurgy and production details but is limited in its discussion of variations and the quality of the crosses presented. I found Franki Thater's book on the 1939 Ek1 also very good. Thater's book does have some factual issues on variations, and unfortunately is only in German, nevertheless; the quality of the photo presentation as well the number of variations presented is second to none. So, in sum, I feel both books are a must for the collector..Yours to choose.

              I know this does not apply to the 1939 Iron Cross, but has anyone purchased the new two volume set on the 1813, 1870 and 1914 Iron Cross.
